PROJECT

Good retail lighting has many obvious benefits fo a business but possibly the least obvious of these is perhaps the positive impact it can have for the workforce. When leading Austrian supermarket chain BILLA contracted Russian lighting design company BELINTEGRA to design a new luminaire for their stores, an important part of the brief was to provide high-quality illumination for cashiers’ while reducing glare as much as possible.

SOLUTION

BELINTEGRA designed a pendant shaped luminaire they called EVEN-L for the project. The luminaire height can be adjusted according to the level of illuminance required and uses LEDiL DAISY-28X1-WW optics, in one or two rows, specifically for their low glare performance and high efficiency, providing about 95 lm/W when used with EVEN-L. The standard luminaire colour is white but can manufactured in any other RAL colours as required.

BENEFITS

BELINTEGRA created a luminaire with a colour temperature of 3500 K and a high colour rendering index of Ra> 90. Thanks to DAISY-28X1 optics and the high quality of the LEDs used BILLA personnel can now work under improved human-centric lighting that reduces both visual stress and the number of human errors.
